Struggling to get meals on your table?

Struggling to get meals on your table?
Struggling to get meals on your table?

If you’re having trouble making ends meet and keeping food on your table this year, there is help available. The state is extending a temporary food benefit to Minnesota families called the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer, or P-EBT. P-EBT provides benefits very similar to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which allows families to purchase SNAP eligible food from local retailers.

You must apply before February 26, 2021 to receive these benefits for the rest of the school year. You can apply for P-EBT Benefits by filling out the free/reduced price application online at schoolcafe.com/StillwaterAreaISD

  • If you are already receiving SNAP or Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) benefits, or if you’ve previously filled out the 2020-2021 application, you do not need to do anything - you’ll automatically receive these benefits.

  • You must have a current mailing address on file with the school in order to receive the P-EBT card in the mail.  Please contact Adam Mazzara at mazzaraa@stillwaterschools.org with any updates to your address.

Please note, while you must fill out the free/reduced price meal application to be considered for P-EBT benefits the state’s food benefit program is completely separate from our school meals program. School meals will continue to be free to all students this year.
